I was just wondering if any one else thinks a lightweight FRN scaled Crow/Raven would be a good idea. I have the crow and I like the knife overall, but I think I would prefer an FRN version as it would be lighter in the pocket. I have to say overall I am more than pleased with the Byrd line. Fantastic design and great quality for the price. I now have the FRN Meadowlark, the G10 Cara Cara & the Crow. Up next on my list: the G10 Robin & a Flatbyrd. Does anyone know if the Flatbyrd has a clip?

Hey Firefox. Although this company can change a tiny detail faster than Paris can get out of jail, my early release Flatbyrd don't have a clip. They're as flat as can be, I 'spose.

Me too. I would love to see the light weight version of Raven. It would be even nicer if the Raven can have the new Flat grind blade of Catbyrd.

Would it be great if Raven has the G-10 handle and Catbyrd blade style? I cannot wait for the new version to come out.
:D

I really like the blade shapes on both the Crow and the Raven, but I would like to have them with FRN handles. Same for Crossbill.

How does everyone like the liner locks on the Crow and Raven??? I'm a little unsure whether I would like them or not.

I would also like to see Byrd knives with fully serrated edges.

I like both plain edge and fully serrated edge knives, but I don't really want a combo edge. I realize some like them, but I just like them all-the-way one or the other.

I agree. While there are a few CE people out there, most of them don't care nearly as much about the whole PE VS SE thing as the SE/PE enthusiasts.

Also, a fully SE byrd would be THE ideal beater for me.

I really like the Crow's liner lock, it locks up securely, and has smooth action. The ergonomics are great. I would definitely carry it more frequently if it was FRN though. I like a lightweight knife for EDC.
