These two are part of my Variable line of Self Defense Tools. I call this style Brian's Broadhead. This is an extremely versatile design. It is truly ambidexterous in forward or reverse grip. It works well as a push dagger and even in a thumb dagger style. All of these knives carry easily as neck knives, on a static cord or on the belt. I usually carry mine on a static cord or clipped to my belt toward the center of my body.
The first one is carbon fiber. I blunt the very tip of the blade with carbon fiber. I have found that it is very delicate will tend to break off any way. It is still plenty pointy. While CF doesn't develop a durable edge, it does have enough of one to cut. Overall length is just under 4.25" Blade is 2", it is just over .190" thick and the finger hole is 1". $65
The second one is 6al4v titanium. It has the same dimensions except it is approx. .160" thick. It has a carbide edge. $130 PENDING
The third knife is a lower cost version from the others. I normally use D2 or CPM154. This one is 420HC. I came across some and thought I would give it a try. I actually like this steel for this application. This knife has the same dimensions as the others. It's thickness is about .120" 420HC is a fairly good steel. It takes a good edge and will hold it pretty well. For this type of knife, the edge retention isn't as critical as how sharp it will get and it's corrosion resistence. $45 SOLD
