Hey all,
I've been on hiatus the last couple months and have recently gotten back in the swing of things. I saw a Kershaw Zero Tolerance that I just had to have. Given my current economic situation, buying a new name brand knife is not just out of the question, but also not as fun. Which brings me back to you guys. I have a pretty good inventory of some really pretty Lignum, and am hoping maybe someone would be willing to trade for a piece of any of the following steels:
S30V
CPM 154
254 CM
Also, a little bit of black G10 wouldn't hurt.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for this thread, I am a paying member and didn't realize that being a Gold Member didn't come with eqiuipment and supplies thread rights.

Here are some pics of the wood I am offering
one piece is 7/8" thick
one is 15/16"
one is 1 1/16"

These are thick enough to get bookmatch cuts out of and figured enough that it'd be worth the effort.

All 3 pieces are over a foot long. Antbody who can share some of the stainless called out in the original post gets any 2 out of the three pieces.

Some of you guys have been very generous offering some steel and not to sound like a "Choosy beggar" :o But I need +/- 8" oal 1/12" +/- width and >/=5/32" Thick.

Also enough G-10 or Micarta (black) for scales on this guy would be greatly appreciated.
I also have black UHMWPE in various thicknesses and sizes if that whets anyones appetite.
Please don't think me lazy or incompetant (sp?) I know where to find all of these things but can only afford to barter right now.
Thanks again!

Lignum vitae is one of my favorite woods. I took a scrap and shaped it like a small flat river polished rock. Sanded and buffed it and it sits on my desk at work. I use it to fidgit with. The lignum vitae just feels nice in my hand. I like the smell too.:D

We make Japanese training weapos out of it, and I LOVE the smell. I've done small netsuke like skulls and leather burnishing tools. Really cool stuff.

Lignum Vitae is perfect if plan to make fishing knifes also because it is very resistant to salt water in itself.
And it's one of my favourite wood... since it eats my bandsaw teeth in a hurry.. ;D

Cheers
