I have had this piece of wood in my shop for years and although it is the most dense wood sold, I was never impressed with the looks until I tried adding some stain. The grain jumped right out.
Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind with a Scotch Bright finish
Slightly tapered tang
Lignum vitea (ironwood) coke bottle shaped handle
Overall length: 11 inches
Blade: 6 1/8 inches
A stout knife at just over 11 oz.
