I ordered a set of desert ironwood blocks last week and they came in. I was dissappointed and considered sending them back, but, decided to take a chance on them. This is the grain I saw before opening them up:

The lower block was the surprise for me .The upper block had very nice bookmatched figure, but nothing like the lower block
