Actually this started out as a left-over piece of D2 I used to practice working on my beltgrinder with.
A little fun-project to work on, for when I wasnt in the mood to work on other projects.
Today I used it at work for a day, cutting thick leather en rubber of app.1/8inch to 3/4inch thick.
Its a handy little work knife that cuts well.
A few things I would do differently for a next one would be that the handle feels a bit to light and doesnt feel as well balanced as would be best.
Also for the way it is used a rounded spine would have been more comfortable.
But mostly, Ive learned that a round handle isnt the best choice for a knife that you punt down a lot. It will roll away
D2 etched in FeCl3
Spalted maple with blackwood and brass.
Slightly larger than a water proof marker.
Fun to make
