Hi Folks-
Here's one I just finished. The blade was forged quite a few years ago and ended up hidden away in a drawer. I came across it recently, decided to finish grind it, and it just sort of came together from there.
The blade consists of 3 opposing twisted bars (1084+15N20) forge welded together and then forged really close to shape. Some folks don't like the distortion of forging a billet like this, but in some cases I like it... it certainly shows the history of the steel being formed into the blade's profile. The guard and pin are 416 ss, the handle is some really rich Ironwood that I got from Mark Farley at BurlSource.
Please feel free to cuss and discuss.
OAL- 12-1/8"
Blade- 7-1/16"L x 1-1/2"W x ~0.200" thick at the guard
Thanks for looking!
