Li'l 3 bar + Ironwood fighter

Thanks guys. :)

Willie- No worries man! :) I was just wondering what put you off about the knife and was a little goofy with my last reply post. I didn't take offense in the slightest bit! :)

FWIW- I know, not everyone is going to like every knife (any maker's, not just mine) and I am totally open to the "give and take" type conversing about my knives here on the forum. :)

Don't get me wrong, it's beautifully crafted. I just get a weird feeling when looking at the steel closely. I don't know how to put it into words. I am not criticizing this at all, but the pattern up close gives me a motion sickness sort of feeling. Looking at the whole knife I don't get that feeling. I know it sounds weird, and it feels weird. That pattern must be short circuiting some weird part of my brain. No insult intended here. It's sort of like looking at those double image pictures which change depending on the angle you look at them. I get the same sort of feeling looking at those. Great knife regardless of my weird perception.

Willie, You might be having a flash back from those ink spot test you took in grammar school. Maybe you're too young to have experienced that. LOL

A bit of an update from Paul long.

Someone let MC. Escher arrange your psychedelic print. :D

I happen to love multi-bar blades and this is no exception. I like varying styles of them but don't seem to see too many that are forged out to shape like this one. I don't mind the distortion; it actually seems to hide the multi-bar aspect a bit until you take a closer look. Makes it kind of fun...keep looking and find something new :).

I was flicking threw your stuck in the steel WIP with a student yesterday and was thinking, I wander if Nick has got around to using the piece of Gidgee I sent over as a replacement. Not wanting to bring back any nightmares but how did it go if you have used it ? Beautiful knife by the way, that's why I use your WIP as an example of how to do things right. Now some one buy this one before he takes to it with a hammer. LOL

Really don't believe I've ever seen a Nick Wheeler knife I didn't like/love. This one is no exception. Love it.

Danbo, it is still very, very cold outside. Are you sure you want to come out of hibernation this early???
