Gentlemen,
This was a fun project that I now have available. It started life as a good sized piece of 52100 round bar that I took up to my good friend John Doyle's
J. Doyle
shop a few weeks ago. We squished it down to rough bar stock with his forge press. After soaking the decarb off with vinegar I realized that the forge texture was just too cool to grind off so I made three little EDC/Necker knives. This is the first of them. It comes with a kydex sheath.
SPECS:
OAL: 8.0"
BLADE: 3.5" long, 1.125" wide. The flats are "brute de forge" and the bevels have been belt finished to 600 grit. Peened copper lanyard tube accent. All edges are chamfered. The grind is hybrid flat/convex which is down to 0.009" before sharpening.
STEEL: 0.13" 52100 carbon steel that was normalized and thermal cycled after forging. It was then heat treated to RC61.
SHEATH: Kydex.
PRICE: $195
Shipped USPS in the CONUS international buyers welcome, shipping extra.
Paypal, checks or money orders accepted.
Post "I'll take it" here in this thread and then PM or email me for arrangements. I have this posted on Instagram as well.
Comments/Questions/Critiques welcome.
Thanks for looking!
