Lil' Red, My first slipjoint

Well done Brian, even though it aint perfect you should be proud. I bet #10 will be awesome. Can't wait to see more.

Darrin, your heat treat is just awesome. This thing holds an edge wonderfully. You've got my business for every SJ I make! Thanks for a great job. It's starting to look like #10 will be here before I know it. I already have 2-7 planned!!

Rolf, I used a dremel wheel chucked in the drill press on high speed, then used a piece of steel as a sled and slid the blade along the wheel. It's not the safest or the smartest way to do stuff, but until I can buy a mill, it's what I have to use.

Brian! Cool. The Almighty Dremel.
Gang- Wait till you see the SJ that will coming to Mburg soon. :)

I think you will go a long way. Anyone with the patience to keep going even with mistakes along the way has to have the patience to get it right.

I hope every one gets better and better.

Very cool! I agree with Carl. Do your own thing, that's what would set you apart from other makers.

Keep up the good work.

Glenn

I really appreciate the feedback gents. I have plans to make more soon!

I have carried this little knife the last two days. Today it got a great workout. It just slid like a hot knife through butter on some outdoor carpet this afternoon. I'm loving the blade geometry and heat treat so far. This A2 steel is great!

very distinctive.
like someone else said, the red is good for a working knife because it would be easier to find if dropped or mislaid. but its also not a blecchy color that would make you *want* to lose it. lol
