Ultra smooth, absolutely rock solid lockup. Perfectly centered. Knife has been carried sparingly and seldom used: has opened a few packages, cut some fruit (and was promptly rinsed) and that's it. Screaming sharp and the grind is so stunning on this model.
There are a few very minor dings/nicks. The bolsters and sub hilts have a few light buffs from carrying. The spine of the blade has a small ding that you can see in the light but not feel, very superficial. I'm guessing it came from my tip down carrying in the same pocket as my SS pen. I tried to capture it as best I could in the photo (see second to last photo). The G10 on a tiny part of the lanyard hole seems to have not been fully polished - or it could be a tiny chip (?). It came that way from the factory and as it's purely cosmetic, it never bothered me. I took an outdoor pic in the sun to try capturing it as best I could (looks a lot worse in the pic than it does in person - see the very last pic). Clip has since been switched back to tip up carry.
All in all very good condition and very rarely used to cut. I feel like this is an excellent deal on a gorgeous, Taichung produced Spydie.
