Lile Grey Ghost w/Dot

I've got a Lile Grey Ghost for sale.It has the Dot meaning it was made after Lile's passing.The 6.25in. blade is D2 steel with micarta handles,Brass pins,& thong hole.The Sturdy Leather sheath is made by L.P. Streieel.The knife's in Mint condition except for some minor wear from being drawn in & out of the sheath.$415 Delivered in Cont. US.

How, exactly, did he manage that??!!

(Not trying to be insensitive...and probably most everyone knows this, but I don't.)
 
Not knowing exactly either,I have been under the impression that it was his remaining stock at the time of his passing.How many were made,what models/styles and for how long I don't know either.Guessing someone who knows will clue us in. :)
 
It means the knife was made in the Lile shop after Jimmy died. Without a dot doesn't necessarily mean Jimmy made it either. It was a shop with other workers in it before he died. Hope this helps.
 
And to add a little, this rule did not apply to folders, to find out about them you need to look at the date they were made.

unless, of course.... they are folders made prior to Jimmy being granted the patent, in which case there won't be any dates down inside.
