Lime green knives

My daughter wants a lime green knife. Are the Case knives my only choice?

If you can find one, I suppose a USN Spyderco Waved Endura might pass for lime. Your best bet might be to look for some lime colored handle material (dyed wood or bone...possibly some G10) and have Phillip Dobson make up some scales for a screw constructed locking folder.

I've been there. ;)

You may also be able to RIT dye one of the white Spyderco knives. Gives you more size options but you need to do a little reading and approach it as a small project to get the right shade. Could be a fun Dad/Daughter thing?

Here's a thread about the dye process from the Spyderco forums, there are a few step-by-steps if you need them as well.

I believe they made four different models with white scales: The Ladybug, Dragonfly and Endura/Delica models.

Otherwise, your best bet would be to find a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian w/lime handles. I'm not sure if these are discontinued or not but they are very limey.

The mini-Grip is FRN right? Rit dye should take to it.

The Spydercos are nice though. I can't speak for the Endura or D'fly, but the Delica 4 is a good knife. I expect the Endura and Dragonfly to be equally good.

Besides, if she changes her mind about the colour you can always re-dye it :D (I found out when I tried to RIT dye my black Delica...guess how that went?)

Also here's a nice SAK-Lime green Vic Classic. ALox too!

Some folks here do custom G10 work. The only one I know off the top of my head is Potterma (not sure if member here). He has custom stuff for CLB designs by Boker.

You might want to post in the embellishment & tinker section to see who does custom G10 if you can't find something you want in lime already.

What is it with little girls and lime green?

anyway, I got my daughter a little Buck 425 with black thermoplastic. I made the mistake of telling her I saw it in pink and lime green and she's been coo koo for one or the other or both ever since. I see them on the bay at times but the price is way out of range for that size and quality knife $18-25 plus shipping. They have been discontinued for a while and Buck factory says they dont have any layin around. If youre willing to pay, its a nice little 1 7/8
USA made knife with 420hc.

I have been experimenting with dying the white Spydercos and can report great results. I'd suggest removing the scales if possible and carefully degreasing first. The white Spydercos were sprint (limited) runs and are beginning to get scarce, so I wouldn't drag my feet too long.

On a similar note, anyone know of any aqua blue handles? I know there are:

Victorinox Classic SD
Victorinix Farmer (darker than aqua, but still counts)
Benchmade Mini-Grip
Leatherman Micra/Squirts
Any white-handled Spydercos

Is that about the gist of it?

I've seen the Spyderco Dodo and Yojimbo referred to as "IBM Aerospace Blue" which appeals darker but somewhat similar to Aqua Blue?

Long discontinued and VERY hard to find.

Hen & Rooster also has done Lime Green pocketknives.

Ah yeah, I forgot about the Yojimbo. I also know there's the Kershaw DMO and lots of credit card knives. I always wondered why companies didn't use the cool blue more often. It's highly visible and stylish.

So the recommendation from Chris was right on...
Here is what I bought my daughter for Christmas.
