The oil pattern/colors on your knife is really nice. You could ask them if they could just replace the blade. The blades are a common stock item and really easy to swap out since it held together with a torx screw..Mine just arrived. The Buck Knives etch on mine is very faint along with the model number at certain angles. They partially disappear as you can see in my picture.
I showed it to the wife and she likes it so I think I’m safe. However she did think it was “ the ridiculous kitchen knife you don’t need” aka the Ulu when she grabbed it from the porch.
Thanks! It is a really nice knife. I am debating about contacting them. If it was a cheaper knife I wouldn’t care. The oil pattern/colors on yours is really nice. You could ask them if they could just replace the blade. As long as they have the blades in stock, easy enough to swap out since it is take-apart.
For that kind of money, and if you plan on keeping it as a collector item, I would get it fixed. IMOThanks! It is a really nice knife. I am debating about contacting them. If it was a cheaper knife I wouldn’t care.
I've been fooled a couple times by someone asking a lot and then accepting a much lower offer. Then when I realize what I'm paying with tax and shipping, it was still too much.I should list mine for $10k with Best Offer option of course.![]()
My guess would be ‘torx’ for the screws used in the take-apart design.Ok, I have looked and could not find it. What does TRX mean when used to define this knife? Thanks...
