I'm kind of curious, who amongst the hogs actually USES an "LE" blade on a regular basis? Since I received my SAR4 LE, (And decided to keep if, THAT was a close one) I've EDC'd it quite a bit. I haven't HAD to use it, but WOULD if I did.

So, I'm curious, who uses em, how often, for what, etc?
Pics get you more points BTW. Let's see those USER LE blades!

I've been using and carrying my Basic 8 LE for a while now, very handy blade to say the least. Just started thinning the shoulder out on it, needs a little more bite for my tastes… :)

I've hacked leg of lamb in half several times already, along with slicing the finished product. Done some chopping, splitting & shaving wood with it too…. I'll get some pics up soon….. :)

Resinguy, second from the right on top, drroooooool! Who is the maker, please. :)

As for LE's I dont have current LE's on my rotation, sold em all. But I do and have had Custom Shop pieces in there. Right now on my hip is my most current loved user, Cultellus. This one blows away my former edc a Heavy Duty right out of the water. Very happy Busse user right now. :D

One other great Custom Shop user was my Desert Anorexic BA3, DABA That thing was a slicing machine. Really really regret letting that one go.

It will have a number engraved on it I believe. Idk if there's any more to it.

Not necessarily will there be a serial number lasered next to the logo, I ordered my Basic 8 Limited Edition w/ just the 'BUSSE' logo minus the serial number on the blade. I also picked up a second that I gifted to a friend that was completely sterile with no markings on the blade. There will likely still be some sort of numbering or other marking on the tang of the knife for shop purposes, but not necessarily on the blade.

I prefer my blades sterile, but like some others have said I use the piss out of my Custom Shop blades. Best example is probably my satin Custom Shop NMSFNO, which goes out trail running with me here in Hawaii...I always find a tree or two fallen across the trail that have to be chopped up :D The first run up Olomana after a storm earlier this year saw it digest at least a dozen trees (plenty in the 8-9" diameter range and at least one that was in the 14" trunk range) without so much as dulling the edge, even the disgusting Hawaii tree sap eventually all cleaned off too. Looking forward to getting it and some other CS blades back from re-handling and such, so that I can beat them up again.

LOL. Just posted that pic in the B13 thread the other day, and here was my response...

Happens like clockwork. Every time that I post the choppers pic, someone asks about the knife in the upper right corner, second one in. This time the question came by PM, but I'll answer here, because there is probably another person out there wondering.

It is the Blue Collar Camp Knife, forged of 1095 by Burt Foster, MS. Great cutter.

My LE Active Duty goes to hunting camp every year. Doesnt always get bloody these days but always seems to cut something on the trip.
