Hi All,

I have a question about a limited edition Buck knife. It's the limited edition of the Geronimo Dagger 100th anniversary knife. I've been watching these for a while now. There are at least two versions available. One with a full stag handle and another with a round stag handle with a brass butt. I only see one listed in the blade guide?. I'll post two closed out ebay auctions one of each type any info will be appreciated.

I don't have much info...I never received or misplaced the paper work with mine when I bought it....seems like a hundred years ago.
I like the stag on mine....I have a Harley polished roung stag dagger that is ok.I never knew that they made both handles in the Geronimo
They are both unsharpened and both have well made wooden boxes.

What year where they produced? You could go to the BCCI website and get the catalog for that year, should have some information listed.

What was the question again:confused: :D . Preston

1986....I don't know what the 100 th year was for ,Geronimo died in 1909,
he surrendered to the U.S. Calvary in 1886.....may be that is what the 100 th Anniversary was.

Checked the 1986 catalog....no pictures of the daggers.
but the price list had: 1986 Geronimo Dagger list 249.00,case 28.00
78.00 extra for Damascus blade
458.00 mastadon ivory......didnot say anything about flat or round handles.sooo now I have to try and find a Damascus blade w/Mastadon Ivory handle.....

oops :foot: . From the links you can see that the round handled knife has a etch on the back (1 of 250), the stag only has no number etch. Which one is the limited editon that is in the blades guide? I bought the one with the stag only handle and it has a false edge:confused: . Was that the intent for this issue? or, did they just forget to sharpen the one I got? I do not intend to cut anything with it. But, a knife should have a edge....a letter opener maybe not.

I think this was due to several states Laws in place at the time of mfg.
of double edged knives.
No they were not sharpened as the Spirit of 1976 knife was not ....single edge knife.

my guess is they are both limited editions , you say the one is marked 1 of 250 i would think the other is 1 of 1000 maybe
as for the unsharpened edge i have a prototype that isnt sharpened and some of the other display models were not sharpened either

Thanks for the info on the unsharpened blade EEE. The blade guide said that this limited edition was for 250 knives/daggers. The round handled dagger has an etch "1 of 250" so......is this the 1987 LE in the guide? If so then what are the Daggers that EEE and I have and when were they made?

 I did not need to know about the Damascus blade and the Mastodon Ivory.....more knives to look for;) . But not for a while.....the wife is mad again and I still have a stag AG in bound from Cabalas. I hope I get that package before she dose:rolleyes: .

Give this a try. Get a USPS priority box, put a phony name and address on the label. Every time you leave the house, tell your wife you sold another Buck and have to send it out. Bring that box back in the house while she's gone or preoccupied. Do it again in a day or 2, then repeat. This should make the arrival of new knives so much more pleasant. Then when she says " another new knife", you reply "it's to replace the one I just sent out, at least I'm selling to buy".
You guys think it would work? My wife assumes something wrong, if I don't get several packages a month.

My wife would also expect something to be wrong if I didnt receive a few boxes! Why not try this? Put my name and address on the boxes and ship me a knife every other day :D That would be honest :D

Sounds good...but why fake it??? Mail a can of soup to your local City Mission, write it off your income tax [itemize]. Tell here it's a trade...if you say it's a sale, she'll be looking for the money/deduct it from your allowance...

Just make sure it's a balanced trade...three cans of soup out; three knives in... :D

I don't fake it or fib, my wife knows... I buy knives. I was just offering a little creative help, to those that don't have an understanding wife.

i thought of the trade line and in deed i do trade some and when i sell one and a check comes in i jest give it to her so she kows i do sell some once in a while ... mostly car parts i sold i got check but she jest takes it and dont check nothing put the paypal print on the credit card and THAT will get me banded from computer... fast and sleeping alone to boot... is why santa said to not upset the wife...
gota love then~ hate to be with out mine even if i had to give up knives i have now... i could get more later ,,,, glad she dont read this forum... hee hee

Oh yeah. I hear ya Dave!!!
My wifey just asks nicely, "ya yakking with your knife friends" and has no idea what we could be yakking about.

But if she knew the bucks involved for the Bucks that I want that you pushers have, it could go bad...just lusting for a Buck I think can be worse than checking out another woman. At least with women, I'm just window shopping, I love and respect my relationship with Mrs Goose.
But with the Buck Fever...I am weak.

I hate it when three packages arrive on the same day...usually on a Monday...

Honey, you got some splanin to do....... yes Dear.... those are just cheapies I picked up for future investments... Probably a better investment than the IRA's.... :o

I know Scott,
I was just tryin' to get some knives sent to me :D

Maybe all the guys out there with or without an understanding wife, should get her a Buck for her birthday, xmas, or better yet anniversary!!!!!
Get her hooked on them and it would be like doubling your collection!!!
Besides that an anniversary gift (buck knife) would be remembered for a LONG ,LONG time LOL Keep us posted how these scenarios work out for you guys!!!

Our mantra is "Don't ask if you can't handle the truth". She knows, but is in Da Nile...you know, that river. She just happy I'm not stuffing it down the string of someone on a pole. It's a "choose your problem" kine thing.

Well Goose,
