Thanks again all, for your prayers and well-wishes for my wife...surgery scheduled for June 20th should take care of one of the major issues, but the physical toll both the problems and the waiting for a solution are taking is hard to bear...

On a happier note, a nice surprise arrived today:

I wasn't really attracted by the original's handle treatment, but this G10 version is fantastic! Very Avalanche-like. This is a manual, but the flipper is so perfectly leveraged that you wouldn't know the knife is not A/O!
