Limited edition GSO

Just playing around with different outlines. Ideally it'd be with a fresh chunk of metal but using preexisting blanks with boogered up tips or something was what I was thinking. The saber grind would need to be ground flat or at least rounded off I think, on each.

4.1- blade is awfully short but I'd take it.

4.7, yes please.

5.1 in a modified wharncliffe. The choil makes the recurve too exaggerated, I don't think I like it at all.

Gonna play with it some more when my octane level is down a bit, get better blade profile tracings. I think the 4.7 would be fantastic to use otherwise scrapped blanks, ideally I'd love to see 4.1 or 3.5 sized handles but that'd defeat the purpose of using otherwise unusable steel.

I'm liking this thread so far...............

What about a Santoku style blade for the kitchen or camp? Something like this with Guy's design ingenuity thrown in?

The santoku is nice but would be even better with a 7 inch blade

I agree. It's 5.375" and .16" thick. Very stout. At 7", that is where Guys design effort would come in and finish it up.

IF S!K did do a modified wharncliffe design based on the 3.5 or 4.1, it would be the one knife I would actually pretty order and wait the year or more.
