Limited Edition Paramilitary 2... yes or no?

52100 doesn’t have much chromium for stainlessness. If you don’t mind a patina, I say go for it. If you want your blade to stay shiny and you don’t mind doing some maintenance, once again—go for it. If you are in a corrosive environment, other steel’s would probably be a better choice.

I carry an m4 pm2. I’ve had no problems with rust in northeast PA, even if it gets sweat or rain on it.

Love PM2s. But my PM2 in m4 shows rust faster than 1095. Will sell or trade it out eventually, then stick to the 4 or 5 stainless ones I have and love.

My come back into knife collecting started with the PM2. I then tried some other popular brands ($30-$290 range). I ended up preferring many of the BM offerings under $250. I keep trying to increase my Spyderco collection though.

IMO, the BM 908 is a better competitor to the PM2 than the Grip or 940. However, the blade steel is 154CM (unless you get the much more expensive M4 version from KSF). I have both (and plan on picking up a 3rd), but they are discontinued, although you can still find a few left online.

I also have the M4 Manix 2. It's handle slopes down more than the PM2. I just prefer the rounded handle feel, blade to handle ratio, no choil, and Axis lock combination of the Benchmades... although many people are the opposite.

I can't find fault in the PM2, and it is available in many great options with terrific fit and finish. I just rarely use it. Of my 4 Spyderco knives, if I could only have 1, I would choose the Military... but that is a fairly large folding knife, and I would probably grab the HAP 40 Stretch for most work duties not related to cutting wood... also if I could only use my Spyderco knives.

Right now my general use folder is a Boost which I don't mind getting knocked around.

Para 2 great knife get one for sure , but , if you like shiny blades find one with stainless steel blade , this one will develop patina over time and may rust in humid environment .

I found this via Google. Mustard patina. Looks sweet!
