The Kalinga is listed under the Web Exclusives, so I don't think the BCCI discount works ? Not working for me either.

I wonder how many they made so I can know how long I have to resist : ) If it is a couple of hours, I'll be ok. But if it is days, well . . .

I've been waiting for another BOTM, the last one in burlap micarta I passed on. Love micarta, don' like the look of burlap micarta.

Would love to add another Kalinga to the collection but IMO the handle needs to be a more unique material to move me to decrease my daughters inheritance.

I agree. I would have liked the handle to be different than what they already madd.

I'll file this one under a knife that looks really cool, but in reality I don't think I'd use. So, happy to save some money for once

I dont. while I like the kalingas looks...... the angle is too swept up for the kinds of cutting I typically do. I find it also awkward to put back in the sheath due to the extreme angle and sweep of the blade. I highly prefer the akonua to the kalinga. the akonua accomplishes the same idear, but is just a far better and useable design.

It seems Al Buck may have used it ? or just nice marketing. "We like to feel that the Buck Kalinga is also the badge of authority for all sportsmen to wear. The original Kalinga was a favorite of Al Buck's."

I've wanted one of those since C&C last sold out of them.
Same price now as then too I might add.

I'd prefer a nice older one, with the pointy tang and micarta handle tho.

Those really are gorgeous knives.
I'm just not into spending almost $200 on another knife I'm never going to use.

Tho. If the BOTM had released and it wasn't anything I wanted, after a few drinks, I might have bit.
The day's still young tho.
