Limited Run: 401 Kalinga

Received mine today. Looks beautiful. I was hoping that is would be from 2023. But I see it is from 2020. Did they have a bunch of blades in inventory and decided to do a factory run to get rid of them? Or did they have unsold knives in inventory? I wouldn't think they'd keep full knives in their inventory for so many years.

Yep, this is where I'm at on it. It's a beautiful knife, but I have been using fixed blades long enough to know that I wouldn't enjoy using this one. These days I am super critical and it takes a lot to get my wallet open. I can't wait to see what the October BOTM is going to be.
 
Just got mine delivered today. I've always wanted to replace the one I originally bought back in the 90's, never actually used, then accidentally left in a car when I traded it in back in 2008. Someone got a nice little gift when they cleaned out that trade-in! My only petty complaint with this new one is with the bolsters. The top corners are almost sharp enough to pierce skin. They should be ground down a bit better. I was able to use a 10% off code with it though, so it was a great deal, no complaints there!

I didn't notice that on mine, assuming you mean the guard.
