The Alamo Bowie from Linder-Messer of Solingen, Germany is truly a knife collector's dream. Made in 1979 - in a one-time limited batch of 999 pieces - the Alamo Bowie has been sold out and off the market for many years. I have #s 142 and #152 of the series available for sale. Measuring 23¼" overall it has a blade length of 15¾". The full tang blade is of high-carbon stainless steel and has "The Alamo Bowie" etched across the face. Handle is of Sambar Stag with a brass hilt and butt. The knife comes with a fitted leather sheath and is mounted on a wooden plaque (32¾" x 10¼") with a brass plate commemorating its year of make by Linder, it's serial number and the Rockwell hardness of the blade (RC55). From the legacy collection of a knife dealer relative.
Complete with leather sheath, magnetic mounting plaque, and original numbered poster.
