Never made a lined sheath before. Figured I'd give it a shot. I lined it with some soft doe skin. It fits tight as a glove and no need to wet form the sheath.

That looks fantastic Bruche. I'd like to see you beef up the stitches at the base of the belt loop though.

Super nice work once again. I like how the sheath color matches the handle, really flows them together.

It's got 5 stitches going through it. And it is contact cemented down. Plus I stitch with braided nylon cord, the stuff is super beefy.

I love the belt loop. Nice work, if you hadn't mentioned it was your first lined sheath nobody would have guessed, that's for sure. Very cool. Mac

As always, beautiful work. Just stunning.

You know, I've always felt most of your work would be right at home inside one of Tolkein's stories. I could just see it on a belt in Lothlorien...

Man, ilbruche, that is just plain beautiful.
The craftsmanship is incredible.
Chalk one up for the craftsman - "Craftsman ONE, Machine ZERO."
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate machinery but I love seeing hand-made stuff that took skill and patience and does what our machines cannot.

Dang! You are really getting my wallet itching. That is some fine work. I'm seriously impressed with the talent involved in work like that.

I figured as much. I need to send you that sheath video I've got. After watching it I really beefed up my belt loop stitching.

Looking good bro. :)

I agree with Fiddleback, the belt loop is the most stressed part of a sheath. A nice large contact area and good sound construction will go a long way.

I know, it doesnt go with the leaf thing, but you can hide the structural elements with stippling and shading and make it recede and hide itself.

Just some advice from someone who's been there and done that and learned mostly the hard way. :o
