Linen Micarta Scales- What is the point?

Like I mentioned earlier, I don't mind linen, but I would LOVE to see canvas on the 6.

So, then what did you do with a 5 with linen:barf: scales? Nobody in their right mind would want to buy that bastard step child.

linen works....

i can't tell a difference between linen and canvas micarta since i almost always wear gloves anyway while cutting up wood. i found that handle shape rather than the type of scales plays a much bigger factor in grip. with that said, i prefer g10 over micarta since it doesn't soak up and smell.

If you cannot find your ESEE in the dark, maybe you could smell where its at?:D Really, either linen or canvas it doesn't matter to me. If they get too nasty, I have used dishwashing liquid on the scales, rinsed thoroughly, and took a hair-dryer to them. Instant clean and dry in a couple of minutes. AND I take care NOT to strip the original allen screws.
