Liner lock material

I'm just getting into making knives, and working on my first fixed blade... but my question is about my next project.

What I'd really like to make is a liner lock knife. What material works best for the liner lock? Some sort of stainless spring steel, I'm guessing. Any tips on what you guys like?

Titanium is my pick. Ya don't need to draw it back to drill and tap it and it doesn't weigh near as much.
