Finished this one the other day and really like the way it turned out. Lock up is early and tight with no movement. Blade is riding on caged bearings and can be smoothly thumb rolled or thumb flicked open easily. I did run into a problem with the mammoth on the lock side. While working it a hair line crack appeared. I fixed it using zap-a-gap and then using the Foredom rotary tool carefully grooved it from the back. The groove was filled with liquid steel epoxy and sanded smooth. It is now stronger than it was in the beginning but I have priced the knife practically at the cost of materials anyway. When working with natural materials things like this happen sometimes, doesn't make it easier but it is what it is. Of course I stand behind the scale if there is ever a problem from normal use or wear. Here are the specs

Closed- 4 1/8 inches
Open- 7 1/8 inches
Steel- Damasteel Hugin pattern damascus .156 thick
Grind- Flat ground to a thin edge with heavy etch
Frame- Bronze anodized and file worked titanium
Bolsters- 3m Composite Metal damascus pattern
Scales- Mammoth Ivory
Thumb bob- Custom with synthetic dark red ruby
Hardware- Gold plated
Back Spacer- kirinite black and gold
Asking 500.00 shipped in the USA
Paypal or USPS M/O preferred

That's a sweet looking knife J. I really like the way that turned out. If I wasn't so fond of marriage.............!

Looks fantastic! I'm still so hesitant working with bone because it can be temperamental, let alone mammoth! Came out gorgeous, and at a fantastic price too.
