Liner Relief Jig Material?

Yes, both together. Sorry for the misconmunication

DanF, your photo shows very clearly that it really looks like both springs are needed. In my VERY limited experience I've not seen that, nor can I imagine why two springs would be preferred over a single spring of the correct thickness.

Thank you for the photo

I initially thought it was an either/or situation of the two. In light of the new photo its a brilliant idea, as one side of the spring, one of the two, could be ever so slightly thinned to tweak the pressure of the lock release to match the lock up of the knife.

Flipping heck Stan, that's beautiful engineering there!
what angle the lock? 8 and 5?
its like a swiss watch.

Maybe it's not the right place, but I'll mention it anyway :) I have a Swedish-made knife somewhere in the shop . Instead of one spring, there are two thinner ones . Isn't that a better solution? There should be less risk of breakage maybe .Why they do that ?
Mikov knives have also used two thin springs, each half the thickness of the blade. According to mikovknives, com, one of their better known distributors, this is why:

"The double springs are cheaper to make. The edges of single springs had to be manually cleaned/buffed and it was too expensive. The new double springs are just stamped by press and no one ever touches them. I do not like them too much but I am not able to convince Mikov to go to the single springs
:(
Sorry.
