Wow! I absolutely love this. Alan, would it be possible to extend the edge closer to the handle? Maybe shorten the ricasso by half, and still have no "sharpening notch/choil"? I understand you may need a sharper angle on a "kick" to keep the edge off the backspring, but that's OK. I like to have an edge as close to the handle as possible. Maybe a wedding gift to myself if possible. Getting married Sept 22.

I would hate to drop the edge to far in to the back spring and take a chance of messing it up beyond recovery. I am still learning all the ends and out of slipjoints, and this one has to nice of an action to take that chance. I plan on making more in the near future and already have a few in progress. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
 
I was wondering when we might see a slipjoint from you. Very nice work as usual :). BTW, I'm loving the new stag folder!
 
Alan man you rock! Nice knife! Wish I had some extra funds right now! Love your misery whip knives and would love a slip joint by you! Some lucky guy will own her!
