Linerlock Question!

man, 18 posts untill someone mentions the Military, what is going on people :p?
You could look at:
  • CQC-10
  • CQC-7
  • Spyderco Military
  • Ontario RAT 1

All sturdy liner locks. Also look at the ZT0200.

1. ZT 0200. This knife is fantastic at its price range the thickness of the liner matches some frame locks on the market.

2. Spydero Military. Some patience and you’ll easily find one for $100. Its been among the finest production liner lock knives for years, a true classic and a great knife. One of the few things I regret was giving mine away.

3. Beretta/Harsey (if anyone knows the actual name help me out). These look like great knives, S30v, G10, and desinded by Bill Harsey.

Someone is selling them here on the exchange I do like the looks of them. He wrote that it is made by Fox Cutlery. I believe they are made in Italy.

I have read here on blade forums that Fox Cutlery makes top quality knives from various BF members. Fox Cutlery also made the Volpe for Spyderco I believe.

I have handled a Fox Cutlery elite folder it's a small very slim liner lock with a slim narrow 3" drop point blade that looks a lot like a french knife. Stainless frame and bolsters with wooden handles. It has excellent fit and finish (better than my languoile slipjoints) I got mine from Russell.

If the fit and finish are the same on the tacticals you mentioned then I would say they are a great buy.

I had a thread about these a few pages back. I had the large model, but ended up selling it. It is a very well built knife with excellent tolerances, thick liners and blade, and very good fit/finish. Actually excellent fit/finish, it's just that I had already used "excellent" earlier in the sentence.:) I am planning to order at least one when I get paid on the 31st, and may go ahead and get two, or one and a K Tomey neck knife also from Beretta. If you look in the thread I mentioned above, there are some great pics of the knife in question with one showing lockup after several months of use.

Again I think the G-10 Tyrades are an excellent choice, due to the materials used, fit/finish/ exacting tolerances/ low numbers built/ add in the sub $100 price tag and it is hard to beat.:D

If you really want a tank, then the ZT200 is the best bet for your price tag. Available in DLC or Satin (Knifeworks Edition), beast of a liner lock, and a great warranty.
The G10 Tyrade is also great, for $75-$85 it's not as hefty as a ZT200 but it's still a pocket tank for an EDC, if I need a knife stronger than my Tyrade, I just grab a fixed blade anyways.
There's also the JYDII composite blade, it's not as much of a tank as the others but it's still a great bang for your buck knife.
There's of course Emersons, I can't stand chisel grinds, I'll never own one but I've heard great things.
Spyderco is reputable but the thumb hole is either a love it, as most people do, or a hate it design. I prefer flippers myself, but that's just my preference.
Let us know what you pick. There's lots of great choices.

Spyderco Military can be had for under $100 in plain black/satin

Where? New? Please oh please tell me where I can get it for under $100!

To the OP, Kershaw Tyrade and Buck Vantage Pro (well under $100).
