Wenge, padauk, purple heart
Here are my practice covers. The ebony is near perfect and i like the look of them best so they are staying on mine. If anyone wants a set of these your welcome to them. Trust me... they are not perfect as they were done quickly for practice but can possibly be tweaked for a nicer fit and finish. Just say what set you would like and PM me your info

Purple heart on the knife
@untytled, You win best of wood! Really nice grain. I think that one might have been the stock photo. The highlights and lowlights in the grain on this one are pretty remarkable in person. View attachment 756012 View attachment 756013 View attachment 756014
B blademan 13 Jamie, awesome stag there. Well done!
View attachment 756454 I recently picked up these two on the forum, but the previous owner had both the slips "borrowed" by someone. Is it possible to get replacement slips ?
Looks great! That Kevlar is nice looking stuff! Like a cross between Nat Canvas and Burlap.
Nice ones! I have seen very few for sale. People must like themView attachment 756454 I recently picked up these two on the forum, but the previous owner had both the slips "borrowed" by someone. Is it possible to get replacement slips ?

Wow. I have a feeling Nick will be getting a lot of emails!
It is actually the bolster that is chamfered. The scale would never sit totally flush against it. I think it's a nice touch that highlights the bolster more. Other people may disagree but it somehow fits well with the rounded spring and rounded liners. It distinguishes it from the usual GEC knife style. That looks great! It could probably meet up a bit more flush with the bolster, but what an awesome handle material!
Can someone let me know how to get in touch with Nick?
A handsome pair! Thanks for the comparison pics.I recently returned from a trip to discover the pair I had ordered (1 CF, 1 wood). The knife itself is wonderful and went immediately into my pocket. the CF looks nice although mine has a pretty obvious chip where it meets the bolster that was missed in QC. Here it is with one of Mike's "Other" Barlows, the equally excellent 77 Jack in Ebony (or was it blackwood). I'm looking forward to putting this one to use.
