Well, there's no doubt that hogs can reach and surpass 1,000lbs live weight. I really question whether they can grow that large in the wild, though...

Update: The New York Post has confirmed that Hogzilla was real. They sent a team of experts to excavate and examine the animal's remains. Its tusks were the size of khukuries.
