Lionspy VS. ZT0561

Never heard of such a thing. If the knife isn't right, you should call and talk with Jeremy on Monday. We'll get you taken care of.

This is what I love about BF! Companies not only interacting with their customers but the unsolicited help from other members and company representatives. I am a fixed blade and slipjoint nut. I have recently been considering trying out a ZT. Seeing stuff like this..... I think I will.

I will do that, thank you. For what it's worth, the customer service I received both times I sent it in was impeccable.

Please report back about for those of us who want to know.

I've heard of cases of long discontinued models where they do not have the parts in stock anymore for repairs but the 0560 is still in production.

WooT!!! Cool, sounds like this will get take care of. I have to say something about the 0560 (I don't own a LionSpy or the SR1). I've had mine since they came out, it's got a low serial number. I've used it almost exclusively for almost an entire year. The detent ball on mind is still alright from what I can tell. It's been put through a lot of work. It's not as sharp as it was, but it has a great toothy working edge. The last time I cleaned it, the stop pin went flying out somewhere. I can't use it now. :(

If you choose Kershaw, may I suggest the 0561 over the 0560. It's G-10 scales are dark earth (brown) as opposed to black, and I feel it's like an extra nod to Hinderer and his exclusive knives. On another note, the 0561's came out after a significant quantity of the 0560's, giving them a chance to get some of the kinks out, like improving the detent, carbonizing the lockbar, milling an small circle (yielding to a bigger one and ultimately an oval) on the lockbar (near where it joins the frame, under the pocket clip) thus reducing the pressure on the blade as the knife glides open? And there was something about switching from or to a radial... I'm not even close to an expert, but I probably watched just about every review on YouTube, some so obnoxious (we know which ones they are) it drove me to drink, and the info I gave seems like generally accepted possibilities and is no way being presented as fact beyond doubt. I love my ZT0561 and made it a point to get a late serial numbered knife for those reasons. Mine is in the 6xxx range and all I have to do now is name her! XD Happy shopping!
