Pretty cool piece here and not too many out in the wilds yet. The few reviews I have seen say the action is tight, it is supposed to be. This is a hybrid design that is part slip joint, part axis lock, runs on bearings and designed to be sold in free markets as well as places where flippers, gravity knives or the like are illegal. That said this one is nice and smooth and locks up absolutely solid. I have not seen a newer Benchmade lock up this tight in a while. The thumbstud is removable and they include a filler screw for it. New and unused, never even been clipped in a pocket.
