Just got the KUR

lionsteel-kur_zpsuovplhbt.jpg

This feels like a tough flipper that could handle the abuse that my Cold Steel Mini Recon can.

Just picked up a DPX Hest Milspec folder in trade. This knife is very well made like my TNP SR1a. Arrived not so sharp with some small chips in the edge but it sharpened up without a whole lot of effort. One small complaint, why throw a standard hex fastener into the mix? I haven't had to use my standard Allen keys in a long time!

Hey folks,

I'm a LionSteel newbie. I like both the T5 and M5 designs. I'm looking for a general purpose do it all knife for camping and related activities. I have no experience with either Sleipner or Niolox steels. As far as durability for somewhat abusive tasks like batoning, overall edge retention & ease of resharpening, what can I expect from these two steels?

It is also my understanding that M390 is essentially a German produced VG10 variant. Is this correct? If not, how does it compare with the afore mentioned steels?

I would really appreciate an education here. Any input would be most welcome. Thank you in advance to all who respond.

Ok- need to know what the 2nd knife to the left of the pen is and also what the knife is to the right of the leather pouch. Thank you

The only LionSteel I have at the moment, and happen to be carrying today, is the LionSteel RoundHead from Collector Knives

This pair went on a little motorcycle road trip today. I reserved a Shuffler in micarta to join them in the future.
