I'm selling an MVE 10-liter liquid nitrogen dewar. Other than a few blemishes outside, the dewar is in perfect condition, and has served me well. A full charge of LN lasts me about a month and a half in this dewar.

As you can see, the neck opening is over 2" wide. Its a hair over 2.25", but I really never measured it with calipers.

Its also pretty deep. Perfect for really long blades.

Here is a bowie pattern that uses 2" bar stock.

As you can see, it fits easily into the neck opening with room to spare.

I'm selling this because I need the money. Asking $300, plus shipping. If you are interested please email me at jchiggins@tds.net, no PMs please.

Butch,

There is an AirGas store in Frederick, MD - 26 miles from you. There is also an AirGas store in York, PA. 28 miles from you. I buy my LN from AirGas, and all my welding supplies too. To fill this dewar it was costing me about $24 a fill.

A good deal for someone, as they go for upwards of $600.
I acquired a Union Carbide UC-10 from work.
The bozos had lost the lid, so I made a new one...
Jeff, aren't you supposed to be selling knives, instead of shop equipment(other than the Tappers)?

butch,

You should also be able to get LN from the Robert's Oxygen in Westminster. Mention your blacksmith guild membership and get 10% I think :)

I would've jumped on this one, but I need a 2.5" opening...:(

Congrats, butch!

Higgy - best wishes!

Butch, thanks for making my life simpler by buying this thing. I was so tempted, but don't have my oven yet and don't really need to spend any more money right now.

Jeff, I hope your situation improves. We're all pullin for ya.

I imagine you'd be fine with just about anything so long as you don't whack it on anything while it's cold...I've got tons of aluminum MIG wire if it'll help...

Try semen suppliers for liquid nitrogen (livestock that is; not pornstars) ;) Should be easy to find if theres dairy farms anywhere nearby.
