List the knives you plan to buy.

I just picked up a Benchmade 943 and I am looking to pick up a 710HS and an 806D2 and maybe a Benchmade 46-01 balisong.

Got a Dozier Whittler on order.

Got a Japanese influence fixed blade from member Jason Cutter on order.

Will buy a Bark River Knife and Tool model, just don't know which one yet.

Somewhere down the line, I know I'm going to cave in and buy a Scott Cook Lochsa, and probably a Randall #26.

Here's my "Cheapie List" or knives under $30

Cold Steel Recon Tanto rubber training knife
Cold Steel Mini Bushman
A.G. Russell Woodswalker with leather sheath

Knives over $30

Gerber Recoil Auto Plier
Becker BK7 or Cold Steel Recon Tanto

Hmm...It seemed larger in my head...

This damn chick "borrowed" my SAK and I don't expect to see it again.
So some new SAK.
There are too many other things I need to spend $$ on in the foreseeable future.

Kydex. Yeah, kydex is more practical, durable, weather-resistant etc etc... but I frequently prefer leather, too. It has more character.

1. Spyderco Ronin - Will order next month probably, must have one.
2. Spyderco S30V Military - To replace my 440V version.
3. Spyderco Perrin Bowie - Want another one to keep mint.
4. Spyderco SPOT - Maybe.
5. Cold Steel XL Clip Point Voyager.

I've got a matched pair of Recurved Firetacs coming from Rick Hinderer, one with mammoth ivory and one with MOP, a JSP Archangel, a Scott Cook Small Lochsa, and a Sean Kendrick Small New World Samuri. This'll pretty much kill my knife budget for quite awhile.

As far as "the kid" getting an OTF,
I have to say that since there are many people that so unscrupulous that they completely ignore laws and sell autos on ebay, Goat shouldn't have any problem getting one.

Although, he seems alright. I think those laws refer to "other" teenagers..... (glad I didn't have knife collection when I was 16...., heh, heh)

My second custom will arrive around Christmas time.

When it comes to production knives, I'm currently waiting to receive a Cold Steel OSS, a Teflon-coated CRKT Ryan Plan B and an Opinel.

I'm currently trying to work out a deal that might get me TOPS Street Scalpel (Micarta) for little money. I don't particularly like this knife, but the offer is just incredibly good and I could always sell it with a profit.

Some more knives that I plan to buy:

- a few more customs
- Benchmade AFCK II
- Timberline WorTac
- Spyderco Dragonfly

...and many more.

Edit: Goat, what I think he's getting at, is that your list is a little more...presumptuous...even for grown men with full time jobs.

What am I assuming? I'm talking about a long time in the future to complete this list... What was the total, somewhere around two grand? It took me about a year to scrounge up the $1000 for the computer I write to you on.

Short List due to $ shortages:

- Cold Steel SRK on order
- BK&T BK-101 Desert Crewman (hope to talk my wife into ordering tomorrow instead of the CS July special of Recon Tanto for $45; wish me luck!)
- Swamp Rat Howling Rat when $ warrant

BTW: I was looking at my Randall Made knife catalog last night. On the back it said that if you ordered a knife in June, '01 (when I was in Central Florida when I got the catalog) you're knife would be ready in......

July '04!!!!!!!

No telling what the order wait is right now.

Thanks,

Albin

I plan on yet another custom which I designed. Someday after my bank account recovers from the last one!

not counting those that are already on order, I hope to get (or at least order  ) thes in the near future

a custom Strider (e.g. Ajax, Tiger, etc.)
a small Hartsfield

RL

Spydercos--the ATR, S30V Military PE.

In no particular order:

Victorinox Tinker Deluxe
Microtech Mini SOCOM Elite M/A
Becker Knife & Tool BK10 Crewman
and maybe a Victorinox Swisstool

It's funny you ask this question, because I had already started very recently to compile a list of short- and medium-term knife purchases.

In no particular order:
1 - CRKT Steve Ryan Plan B (such a cool-shaped knife)
2 - CRKT Crawford fixed blade Falcon (also cool, good neck-knife)
3 - Spyderco A.T.R.
4 - Spyderco Military G-10
5 - Spyderco Bill Moran Featherweight
6 - Spyderco Temperance
7 - Becker Knife and Tool ... er, some medium-sized model
8 - Kershaw Vapor (because it's a good cheap beater framelock at walmart
9 - Sebenza plain -- but I really would like one with a thumb HOLE instead of stud. Mr. Reeve, are you reading?
10 - Chris Reeve Aviator
11 - Spyderco Ronin
12 - Spyderco Spyderench

Heh, this list is by no means finished.
