Does anyone own one of these yet? They look very nice!

Looks a lot like a Koster. Will be interesting to see a review done. Bet it will be good.

looks more scandi then convex. if you could grind it out to a full on zero bevel scandi i'd be interested in one.

I think it would defeat the purpose and geometry of this design to do so - but I agree - I would love to see them make a full scandi.

got mine in today, I'll get some pics up if I can....what a great knife, handle is perfectly sized & weighted handle heavy, blade is a great size very sharp with perfect grinds and can really split some wood. I'd have to say I'm super impressed with this one and I can't wait to get back up to NH and take it up monadnock :D got mine in gcm...and yes I know worthless without pics (working on it)

Got mine today! :D

It is my first taste of BRK BCM and CPM 3V. It is a stellar combo.
The handle fills the hand very nicely, and even feels a little thicker than the Aurora in the front of the handle.

It's a winner! The finish is superb. I don't know what Mike was talking about when he said the finish wasn't up to par due to the cost and steel strength, meaning a lower grit polish. I love it as is. I'll tell ya, I feel bad for my other scandi's right now, really bad...

Reid/Sharpshooter was spot on when he said that the grind is angled so it can be rested as a guide on the cutting surface and get excellent shaves. The spine has an incredibly square edge, which will come in handy with firesteels and woodwork. Another thing I notice is the weight. I can feel the density of the steel in my hand...

A way I like to first tryout a knife is to put it to a task and use it as the main, if not only, tool throughout. This way I get to know it; fuzz sticks and batons are not enough, this baby wants to be used!

Being a lefty, I am always facing having to make a personal sheath. And I just so happen to have a little birch and some leather...
Let's see here.... ;)

Nice review paleojoe. It looks way smaller than that aurora. I picked up a Koster bushcrafter recently and love it. I may get one of these down the road though. I love this genre of knife.

Hello Mick,

I thought you would! For how deceivingly small the handle appears, it's nicely robust. My larger size hands are comfy with the well-placed swell...:D
