Liten Bror

I think it would defeat the purpose and geometry of this design to do so - but I agree - I would love to see them make a full scandi.

Me too!
The Liten Bror looks nice but its dimensionally too close to my beloved Enzo Trapper.
I'm thinking my next Bushcraft-y knife will be something more Aurora sized.
Would love to see a Scandi Aurora actually!
Or if i could find a used Brian Andrews Bushcraft knife that would be even better.

Looks quite nice but I think I'd sooner have one of the BHK Boat tail Scandi's, the handle looks more handfilling !

Thanks for the kind words guys!

It is a very narrow convex edge geometry, very close to a zero-edge, with just a little more steel to back it up.
If you hone or strop your scandi's, they will have a convex edge like this one...
The scandi grind is well angled for ease of shave or carve work, it rests on the surface and glides.
The worries about it being a bit thicker than the standard scandi can be put to rest.

The grind is very well done.

I started a sami sheath for this one yesterday, carving the birch liners with it, and it sure can make some fine ribbons. After an hour or so of carving the liners, and some batoning of firewood kindling for the fireplace, there was still no drop in the edge sharpness.... I'm gonna give it a good tour this winter!

BTW, that BHK Boat Tail is a real beauty....

so its barely a convex? interesting.

It looks like it suffers from the same problem as every BRKT knife I've ever played with....small handles.

Joezilla,

Hope these pics help. The thickness of the blade is a bit thicker than the traditional scandi, but the geometry is more than made up for in the edge.

Blackhills,

if you check the comparison pic with the Fallkniven H1, you'll see it's about the same length from pommel to ricasso. The slabs are thick and contoured. I have larger hands with wide palms, and it fits nicely. It is narrower than the H1 or even a Mora in the handle belly area, but makes up for it in these other aspects...

I would call that barely a convex.

It is a shallow convex - so I would not change it - I think it needs the convex to make it stronger.

The height is what I was referring to and it's definitely a lot shorter top-bottom than the Fallkniven.
