When I post I get a small avatar beside my big avatar and if I put cusor on it, it shows how many post I have made within post. I do not want this. I see very few others with this showing. How do I keep this from happening?

I don't think it's a feature that can be turned off, but I wouldn't worry about it. You are the only one who sees your little avatar next to threads you have posted in. (as I only see my avatar next to threads in which I have posted)
 
That is good to know. It was bugging me I didn't know why it was there and thought I was doing something wrong. I understand why now.
