Little doubt on Manix 2

Thanks for all your responses! I love the deals on Oso Grande and it is S110V!! It is Out of Stock. But have you bought from them? Do they have good reputation? I know Amazon is secure, but they dont have much variety. So, I'll save for one in 110V an hopefully by september I can get mine to Mexico!
Thanks a lot!

My apologies.
I think that site is just poorly designed and it fools me into thinking they have things in stock that they don't actually.
I don't know any places to get the S110V version right now, I'm sorry.

But check this out, you are only 13yo right?

Try picking up a Spyderco Tenacious. Fantastic knife for around $40.
If you like the Tenacious, that will give you a pretty good idea of how much you will like the Manix 2. And then just save up and be on the lookout for the S110V Manix 2 when it's available.

Why are you dead set on S110V? S30V is more than enough for me...if the Manix came in VG10 I still would not care.

You didn't had to apologize, it's okay. I was also thinking that they were in stock.

Yes, I am 13 yo. But I'm trying to get something with a good steel since I have the Cryo (same steel) and the edge retention is not very good.

I know the tenacious is a very good value knife, but I want something that would last me and that would be on my Edc rotation for years and still working perfectly.

Thanks for your answers!

I have carried and used my manix 2 for the past 9 months (I have the amazon receipt) and the handle grip has held up well along with the blade and pocket clip! Btw it is still smooth As butter... I oil it every week and do a full annual cleaning every month to keep it in shape! My manix 2 is going strong and works the day I got it!

Glad to see it has hold up well. It looks very well constructed.

Thank you!

I'm just trying to get the best I can afford, anyway how good is BD1?

Thank you Kershaws!

David, I really think you should just go for the regular g10 manix in s30v. The frn manix in s110v is a great deal and s110v has some amazing qualities, however... I think you will prefer the sturdier and more solid build of the g10 model. I also think that s30v is a good "next step" steel for you. No, it won't hold a working edge as long as s110v but it will stomp all over the steel in that cryo you have. Also, I find s30v MUCH more pleasant to work with when it comes to sharpening. I find it will easily take anything from a refined edge to a very toothy working edge and is I think it is just a great all around steel. I am always surprised when I end up preferring it over one of my latest "super steel" purchases.

So anyway, from reading your posts, I just think you will be happier with the g10 model in s30v. Just my thoughts. Enjoy whatever you end up choosing.

Yes, thank you very much! And there are some in Amazon, but in the picture, it appears an s30v hollow grind ( havent find ffg) but then the description says its a 154CM, I dont know why. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002ECY7XI?pc_redir=1407396930&robot_redir=1

There is an option to contact the seller on amazon. I would send an email and ask.
It looks like knifeworks has the old combo edge model in stock for a great price! I know many folks don't like them but I really enjoy a well made combo edge knife.

P.S. I never answered your earlier question. I would skip the bd1 version if I were you. It is a fine knife but I do not think it has either the kind of steel or build that you are looking for.

Oh! Thank you very much! You are very kind! Also, the bd1 would be my last option, but I don't really like combo edges, anyway, thank you!
