Hello,

I wanted to share with you a small EDC knife that I made. The knife came to be actually as a cutoff from the steel I cut my first chef knife out of. So the design for this EDC is simply something I could fit on this smaller piece of steel I had left over.

The blade is made out of 100Cr6 and is flat ground. Flats of the blade are etched in ferric chloride and the blade has a 800grit hand rubbed satin. Blade thickness is about 3,8mm at the ricasso. The handle is stabilized Amboina burl (also a small piece I had left over, that barely fit) with black liners.

I haven't measured the overall length, but in the last picture you can see my hand as some sort of reference. I have medium size hands.

Had an even harder time than usual getting passable pictues of this even though it is kinda small:

I am always thankfull for criticism and advice.

Nice! Simple and well done. I need to make about a half-dozen of those before I lose my mind trying to spiral flute mammoth tusk...

Very nice. Most folks make knives far too big. A little Bird and Trout knife is easier to carry, and does more than a big camp knife.

I sell ten knives that size for every big honker.

Very nice! I'm with Stacy, although my ratio is probably even higher. My own personal EDC and I do have big hands is only 5.25"oal. Great work! I make a lot of little knives from left over stuff.

Looks great. I love these handy small fixed edc where the handle is comfortable in many grips. I tend to dislike knives with a dropped butt, that is just personal preference though.

Good looking knife!
Btw I wouldn't call that a small knife but a handy medium size knife
