Just got this one finished; my first successful blade of 1095.
Sorry for the crappy pics, I must build a light box soon.
Specs;
OAL: 7.75"
Tip to scales: 4.25
1095 clay quenched with hamon, mostly machine finished.
Bocote bookmatched scales
I'm trying out slanting the grind lines forward but I'm not sure how I like it because the etch has to be slanted to look right. Oh and there might be a couple of visible dings in the spine from hammering it through some copper tubing a few times.
What's everybody's opinions?
