Really? Does it have toxic properties? That's interesting, I assumed it was just like regular wood only a lot harder.

The dust of many exotic hardwoods is either toxic in it's own right, or produces an exposure reaction after time. Rosewoods often produce allergic reactions right out of the gate.

Most, if not all of the materials used in knifemaking are toxic to the human system with time....the list of hazards and resultant symptoms are legion....it is just NOT a healthy profession from a hazards potential perspective.

Totally true, so much like everything else in life use proper protection to reduce any risks.
