Those stone carvings are amazing. Looks like you and your son had a great time. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful stonework!!! Great photos! What's that noodle dish? It looks like lad-na (which I LOVE), but could pass for pho too?

Wonderful pics, but we would really like some captions that explain what we are seeing.

Tiexie mutton soup derives from Tiexie Village, Huimeng town. According to legend, eight hundred vassals gathered in Mengjin to rise up to overthrow King Zhou of the Shang Dynasty. Locals always say that having a bowl of mutton soup in the morning makes one as unfettered as the gods.
Tiexie mutton soup contains very specific ingredients and is produced using elaborate cooking methods. The soup is as white as milk, in which water and fat blend together, making the soup pure, refreshing and appetizing. The taste of the soup is savory without a strong mutton odor. It is fragrant without a greasy texture. Made without the use of starch, the soup is thick enough in its smell and taste to linger in your mouth even after one has finished.

Wow. Fabulous temple, and carvings. Built right into the side of the hills. What is the name?
