I love the carving. That soup looks very tasty as well. I will make it over there one day. How easy is it to navigate without knowing any Chinese?

I have been to China a number of times (over 10), but have only ever been to Beijing and Shanghai. One of these times I need to get out into the other areas of the country.

This looks like it was a wonderful trip! I'm sure he will look back on trips like these fondly and remember how much fun it was to discover the past with his father. I know I enjoy the family trips that my parents took me on.
