Little off topic.

I don't know if I can help much, but I used to live about an hour southeast of Cleveland, and my wife and her family were born and raised there.

What info are you looking for?

Used to live in Akron and then Kent. My family lives in Canton. Didn't get up to Cleveland itself too often but I'm somewhat familiar with the area.

I lived in the Cleveland area until about 5 months ago. Lived there for 33 years.
I still have a house in Cleveland proper. What would you like to know?

Took Me a while to get back. My son and I are going to a Knife sharpening school in South Euclid in July. Do to the cost of gas and air fare we are thinking of taking the Bus out there from Sioux Falls SD. I wondered if there is public transportation in the area or how we might best get around. It is just a two day class. I didn't see a bus station in that town but it must stop in that area someplace. Thanks for any info you might have.

Luckily South Euclid isn't that far from Cleveland proper so
you should be able to find either a Train (Called Rapid Transit)
or a Bus that goes near where you want.

Here's the RTA (Regional Transit Authority) site.

They handle all public transportation in the area.

If you are going Greyhound from SD they will drop you off in the
middle of downtown Cleveland. That's the only station in the area.
At that point you're about 9 miles East from South Euclid.
Traffic is relatively light in the area, unless it's a weekday between 5 and 7pm.
Then downtown traffic can get pretty bad in some areas.
But going East shouldn't be too bad from my experience.

If something happens and you need to grab a cab, walk directly
west of the station and there's a hotel right across 13th street
(you are behind the hotel at that point, walk thru the atrium/corridor
or walk to 12th street and you'll be in the front.
Embassy Suites combined with some condo thingy I believe.
Hotels are pretty much the best bet for getting a cab downtown.

Thanks a lot for the info. I hate going to a new place with no idea of what to expect. We can bring some knives along to the class. I hope there are no crazy knife laws to contend with. Thanks again.
