Little Rock AR knife show

Bobby Toole. Had a table full of very nice slip joints. I limited myself to buy one knife at this show. I really had to fight myself to not buy 2 or 3 of Bobby' s knives. He's a nice guy putting out nice knives at reasonable prices. I'll buy another knife from him at some point.

Enjoyed meeting you, Rob. Nice to see the Barlows.

I also admired this display case of Ruples. I was surprised to see Mr. Ruple himself across the room. I asked him about the display case. He smiled and said "He has more Ruples than I do." I think he was smiling because he has sold him all of them.

I, like you, was also struck by all the stag available on that table.

Wish we had better weather to offer this weekend.
 
S sierracharlie It rained on the trip in this morning but no rain on the way home. Well worth the drive, the wife and I enjoyed the trip, she is a patient woman when it comes my knife hobby. I got off easy on lunch, having our two dogs with us prevented an expensive sit down lunch.

Ruple didn't bring many knives, he told some funny stories about Tony Bose and some of his antics.

That Price Bowie in the “Big ‘uns “ photo is fantastic! I’ve seen pics of it, worth the price of admission by itself. Thanks for the great pics, looks like a great time, and a very nice Lanny’s Clip!

I had no idea of the significance of that Bowie, thanks for educating me Neal, I like bowies, maybe someday I'll cool off on slip joints and start collecting a few:thumbsup:
 
Thanks for the write up and the great pics, Rob! Looks like you had a great time and got to check out some nice knives. You snagged a beautiful LC. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Bobby and his work.
I would have had a hard time not coming home with one of Pete Truncali’s little bolster release models.
 
I was hoping to see some of what I missed by not being there. Thanks for the pics and the narrative. That is a beautiful Toole.

Pete makes a fine snappy bolster release! Don't hesitate to buy one!

Fun show, and thanks for sharing! I've been watching Bobby Toole's Instagram has he's been preparing for the show. That Lanny's clip you got was one of my favorites! Glad you snagged it.
