Little Rock Knife Show

Here are five knives I'll have at the show. I should be able to make two more before the show which I will post after I complete them.

Here are the specks for the first one.

The 8 1/2" blade and fittings are made of four bar "Explosion" Pattern Damascus The German Silver liners are 0.040 thick instead of 0.064 which was what I have been using on my frame handles. I will now be using the thinner liners on all my frame handles unless someone specifies otherwise. The handle is premium Mammoth Ivory, that has a lot of green in it that you cannot see in the picture very well. The spine of the blade is domed. The handle is 5" long to give the knife an overall length of 13 1/2" long. This is my first "S" guard bowie.

They all look great Kyle.I really like the bowie with the S guard. Are you planning on entering any of the bowies in the Best Bowie competition and give John and Terry a run for their money?:D

Some absolute gems on display here - thanks to all who took the time to post, and please keep them coming.

Southwest Bowie

This one is slid together for the photo. I have the sea shell carved on the guard. Fossil Walrus tusk
handle, the 8 3/4 inch blade is a "W" Ladder pattern and the mountings are stainless.
I may leave it nice and simple like this, am debating on whether to engrave it or not.

Integral Hunter

This is a 5160 carbon steel, full tang, integral with Desert Iron wood handle scales.
5 inch blade. Stainless pins. This is as simple as I can make one.
It is a delivery that I will have at the Arkansas show.

Great looking knives Kyle. I especially like that second bowie, beautiful work. I look forward to seeing them in person. See you in Little Rock.

Field Grade Military Model
Ark-09-Miltarymodel.jpg

This is my Military model. It is a no frills function piece. I have a number of them in military units from various countries. Its what a guy would really use in a combat zone. The approx. 6 1/2 inch blade is double tempered of 5160 steel, has stainless mountings and a canvas Micarta handle. It is stamped on the reverse side of the ricasso with the "Arkansaw" stamp which is rare.

Here is another for Little Rock. Mid size fighter with eight inch blade of 1084, 416 guard, and stabilized spalted maple handle.

The plain-jane military is still one of my favourite Fisks.

Roger
Absolutely. It is a very neat design that just looks like it would be one tough little blade. I am trying to come up with a model similar to that. You can actually price something like that competitively compared to some of the Strider and Busse stuff like Craig Camerer did with his field grade "Slim Pickins" fighters..

Brion - love that fighter.

Joe - sounds like a good idea - I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Roger

Here is another one for the show.

I should be able to finish one more before the show to give me a total of five knives for sale and one on display.

The 6 1/4" blade is forged from 1080 and 15N20 in "W" Feather Pattern Damascus.
The handle is Desert Ironwood.
The fittings are "W" Feather Damascus and German Silver.
The overall length is 10 3/4".

Thanks and I'll see you all there!

Here is another fighter for Little Rock. You can call this one big brother to the fighter posted earlier. The specifications are 9.5 inches of 1084 with hamon of course, 416 stainless guard. and an ironwood handle that you really have to see in person, beautiful grain.
Thank you everyone and I hope to see you there.
