I found this roofing hatchet about five years ago and it's been sitting in my garage. I stripped the handle off and removed the screws out of the flat side. I took the finish off and I hit it with my bench grinder taking the meat tenderizer teeth off of the hammer side. I want to give it a 'chipped flint' look. My problem is the handle now. Should I drill more holes and use pins to attach wood or should I wrap it, or both?

i think it might be fun to make some thin slabs for it and retain them with one screw in the bottom, a little JB Weld, and some fancy paracord wrap.
