As you can see there's something missing from this knife. The blade was forged out of an odd ball piece of saw steel. Actually made this one for a friend. He was wanting something small so I hope it isn't to big. The blade is 3 1/2", overall its 7 5/8". Curly maple handle with bronze fittings.

Even without the piercing that's great, Ray! My favorite using knife style; the blade size is just right. Lucky friend.

Nice knife Ray! I've seen that pattern on some other things you make, like my hawk. It seems to have those same markings, I really like them! On your friends little knife here, looking at the picture of it from the top, I thought you put a stacked handle on it! Exceptional wood to! Mike's right, lucky friend indeed!

Robert, This was a pretty nice piece of wood but I picked up another chunk of curly maple that is instrument grade a couple months ago. It was pretty expensive just for a chunk of wood but its got some unbelievable strips. I'm going to use it on my next knife.

This knife was a first for me. Its got a peened threw tang. I ran out of the nuts that I usually us so I went this route instead. I did a lot of stumbling on this knife and as soon as I got it together I made more nuts.

Nice change from the norm Ray ! I like the clean look, pins just wouldnt look right in wood that nice.
